Page One
At a distance of 3 km from the main camp, in the village of Brzezinka, the camp of Birkenau - KL Auschwitz II -
was situated. Covering approximately 175 hectares (425 sq. acres), it contained over 300 buildings. Of these,
45 made of brick and 22 of wood have survived almost intact. In the places where the other buildings
previously stood (these were either burnt down or destroyed) only the hearths remain.

No More Tears
Christmas is here once again
But Stella can give no charms
But only love for her tiny child
Afraid to sleep in her arms
A bitter wind cuts through the camp
And snow constantly falls
Illness, hunger and the haunting cries
Remind them that death always calls
The child is so weak and skeletally thin
Starvation and cold takes its' toll
No deathly chambers for this poor child
She won't ever grow old
No more tears for Stella to shed
This life is deeply instilled
But her anger within keeps her alive
And hatred is deeply filled
But day by day she sits alone
Eyes which constantly scan
The columns of lonely souls
The march of death has began
And one day she inevitably knows
That her walk will soon be here
And then she will meet her little girl
The one she lost so dear.
